Countexpo is operated by Theo Berryer. It is a free game for people who enjoy exploring countries through trade.
Your guesses, results, settings and progress are stored in your browser. Clearing browser storage removes that local progress. Our hosting provider receives technical request information needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Creating an account is optional. We use your email and authentication information to manage your login. We store your username, optional display name and profile photo, game results and friend relationships to provide account features. Other signed-in players can search your public username and see your display name and photo. Accepted friends can see your game results and leaderboard performance. Avoid using sensitive information in a public profile.
We process account information to provide the service you request. We use limited technical information to maintain availability and prevent abuse, based on our legitimate interest in running a secure service. Countexpo does not sell personal information. This free release does not load advertising or optional analytics scripts.
Vercel hosts the website and server endpoints. Supabase provides authentication, database storage and profile-photo storage. Our Supabase project stores its core data in Ireland (AWS eu-west-1). Our current Vercel server functions run in the United States. Content delivery, support and operational processing may also take place outside the European Economic Area.
Resend delivers account-confirmation and password-reset emails. It processes the recipient address, message content and delivery events. Our sending region is Ireland, but Resend also processes data in the United States. We do not enable email open or click tracking.
Supabase describes its international-transfer safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses, in its data residency and transfers notice. Vercel describes its processing and transfer terms in its Data Processing Addendum. Resend describes its processing and international-transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum.
Browser progress stays on your device until you clear it. Account data is retained while your account is active. Deleting an account removes its active profile, game results, friendships and uploaded photos. Restricted-access manual recovery backups can contain earlier copies of those records; deleting an active account does not automatically rewrite existing backups.
Our maximum retention period for manual database and photo backups is 30 days from creation. These copies have restricted access and are used for recovery, not normal account access. Supabase's Free plan does not provide the dashboard backup feature used by paid plans; no paid backup service is enabled.
You can play without an account, change your photo, sign out or request deletion in Settings. Account deletion removes your profile, results, friend relationships and uploaded photos when the request completes. You may also request access, correction, export, restriction or erasure of personal information, and object where processing relies on legitimate interests. You may complain to your local data-protection authority.
